For most, Christmas is a joyous time spent with family, exchanging gifts on Christmas morning. But for the families of pediatric cancer patients at RMHC-Memphis, Christmas is an added worry for families already overwhelmed financially. Resident families are often so pressed for time between doctor’s appointments, medical treatments, and caring for their children that they don’t have time to shop for the holidays.
Every year, the Ronald McDonald House® of Memphis provides a Holiday Store where parents can “shop” for their children and where children can “shop” for their parents at no charge. Items, new and unwrapped, can be dropped off at Ronald McDonald House® Memphis (535 Alabama Ave., Memphis, TN 38705).
