Story of Hope

Your generosity provides families with warmth, comfort, and a place to heal. This month, we’re honored to share the story of The Crowe Family and how your support has made a difference in their journey.

Meet the Crowe Family

The Crowe family’s journey began in Johnson City, Tennessee, where the family of five was living when their daughter, Wednesday, suddenly became extremely ill. After weeks of tests, they received the devastating news: Wednesday had B cell leukemia and bacterial meningitis, leaving her unable to walk, talk, or see. The family traveled to Memphis, where they found a place of hope at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Memphis.

When the family arrived at RMHC-Memphis, Wednesday’s mom, Kelly, described an overwhelming sense of relief.

“It just felt warm,” she recalls. “I started to cry because I couldn’t believe that there was this place that existed for us. They gave us food. They gave us comfort. It was magical.”

RMHC-Memphis is our home,
I would say second but really the feeling is a true home.”
